[21:39] Separement - Day 4
Real men drink from the hose
Gabe woke up at 2340 and I went and slept with him for the rest of the night. He was a little tossy and turny but he didn't get up until 0615 so at least 10 hours of sleep, give or take a little. We did some cleaning up (we've got a lot of it stockpiled) then got dressed and had breakfast. It was eggy-things again but he wasn't keen on it today. He had a few pieces then hoed down on some bagel and grapes instead. We watered Gabe and, when a few streams managed to get around him, the garden, then went to OSH to see if we could find one of those sticks that you can balance hoses on. We didn't find one so, since we were in the area, we visited Ghetto Zoo again and traumatised the hamsters and budgies for a little while. We stopped in at Thaddeus Park on the way home but someone was a little sleepy and not really into it. We zoomed home and had a mango and some alfredo pasta for lunch and then Gabe passed out at 1215. He passed back in again at 1250 and I went in to soothe him and accidentaly soothed myself as well and we both got up again at 1445.
After some debate we elected to head to Thaddeus Park and we played with a bunch of people there until 1645. We debated going bowling but decided that it was a little too late so we went to the
Whole Foods in Los Altos. We got a bunch of stuff that we needed and a few things we wanted. We got in line to pay and it turned out that the cashier was a trainee, and she didn't appear to be having a great afternoon. We piled all our stuff up on the conveyor behind the
plastic basket belonging to the person in front of us. Unforunately they basket had holes in it that allowed the sensor to see all the way across th econveyor so it activated itself and rammed the basket into the cash register, not content with this, the conveyer escalated the attack and started propelling all of our shopping into the basket until finally the cash register exploded. We helped to put it back together and to plug all the cables back in but it just wasn't the same so we had to move all our stuff to the next cashier who was very nice and because I was too dense to locate the bin number on the sesame snack things, gave them to us for free. Gabe also scored two sticker sheets and a box of raisins so, all in all, as far as shopping trips go, it was good fun!
We got home and put everything away and ate the last of the stew for dinner (we've set squirrel traps in the garden for tomorrows dinner) and half a large mango. Gabe choked on a bit of mango and hurled up a portion of his dinner but through a valiant effort, managed to keep some of it down and then soldiered on through the other half of the mango and a bowl of blueberries and yoghurt before giving up. Somehow it ended up being 2000 so we headed up for showers but, suddenly, we were confronted by Gabe from the future (we could tell he was from the future by his awesomely futuristic helmet:

Luckily he'd just come to warn us of the perils of late bedtimes so we had showers and hit the sack by 2100.
